salicylic Acid Powder (8 Ounce (Pack of 1))

Hello friends, I selected this salicylic acid powder for DIY cosmetics.I've watched a lot of YouTube videos on this and realized that I need to do a lot of research. This acid powder does not dissolve on its own but needs to be mixed with other chemicals. What's nice is a little bit of this goes a long way and if I get the other ingredients I can make a really nice spray for a fraction of the cost. I was really hoping I could just mix it in to lotion or serum but you can't. So this will be on standby.

I wanted to mix this into my current, neutral skin care products, but it does not have any info about what ratios to use, which I will go ahead and assume is super important. I believe this is also a great product for plantar wart removal, but again, you need to use the correct ratio to avoid serious skin injury.

This is a resealable bag of acid powder. This is cosmetic grade. This is commonly found in acne, dandruff, exfoliating products. You can use this to make your own products or enhance products to be more effective. Overall, this seems like a decent value.

DIY Beware! You cannot just mix this into you current products and use it to create your own face washes. It must be mixed with other chemicals in order to make the ingredients active. The packaging gives you no instructions or warnings for this so please be aware. I think on a large scale, like if you were starting your own homemade cosmetics business this could be a useful product but for the everyday DIYer this isn’t very useful. If you do have the correct chemicals, this is a great value as a little goes a long way!

I love making custom soap at home, and crafting unusual soaps with special ingredients for my farmers market. Willow bark soap is one of the really neat options that customers get excited over (basically, you dehydrate strips of willow bark and then grind them up, and use them as the exfoliating powder in a soap bar) but it's nice to supplement the natural salicylic acid from the willow bark with an extra boost for acne-fighting, toning soap. This half-pound bag of extra fine powdered salicylic acid is just what I need for adding to the batch after saponification. It blends in and doesn't change the color or texture.The bag is well sealed (heat seal top), with a resealable ziplock after opening. The window lets you see the powder inside. The labeling stickers are printed in clear English, with the importer/distributor company's full contact information, as well as the packaging company and the manufacturing factory (both in India) and their contact information. Very reassuring to know the sourcing and see the companies unafraid to provide their info for accountability! I'll probably buy from these guys again.

My dermatologist recommended that I use salicylic acid. I like to make my own products, so I thought I would try it out. It’s easy to work with and is a good product.

This is a good product for diy hair and skin care. I like being able to make my own dandruff shampoo and exfoliating skin care products.
