This is utter trash. It does not work it overheats my phone said watch out for it. I threw it out in the garbage can. Thank God it was only six bucks, but that explains why it was such trash.People don’t waste your money on this. It does not work and it could hurt your phone.

Easy to use

You can easily view all your videos and photos directly from your micro SD card using the built in files app without having to import them to your iPhone or download some third party app, it's really that simple! Get yourself a 2TB micro SD card and fill it to the brim with your favorite movies and you've got yourself a portable cinema for your camping trip! While it's true that the adapter gets hot while plugged in it's important to point out that due to it's compact size there is less thickness between the inner components and the outer shell so it's nothing to be concerned about.

I don't know why it took years for this to finally come to Market and actually exist!!!!!But I am so glad that it did and has!!! I purchased a "photo stick" and tried using that with its app, and what a glorified piece of crap that thing is, it's reading and writing capability is extremely slow and the app doesn't help either, they make it seem like it has some artificial intelligent chip inside that speeds everything up, but in reality, it moves like slow turd rolling up hill!!!The simplicity of this device is absolutely awesome!!! Simply put in SD card in and I use a 1 terabyte micro SD card and it has no problem with it, and then go into your files app and you will see this labeled as a utility and all you have to do is simply dragon drop or hit move and relocate and either transfer a copy version over or the real file... You can format it to an iPhone, I personally have not done that because if you have a Windows laptop or android phone or whatever that's not Apple then buy it NOT being formatted to Apple you are still able to copy and remove stuff and alter the data that's on the micro SD card... but the second you format that to Apple, only apples iOS can... and as long as you properly eject it, you'll never have a loss of data and you'll simply get the best of both worlds

I can't really review the functionality of this product, because it does not reach the lightning port while using an otter box. This adapter is too wide and does not clear the Otter box frame to allow the adapter to connect. You will need a short jumper cable to use this product if your phone is housed in an otter box frame. You may want to look at one of the 7 port SD card adapters with the short connector cord.
