I tried this on a whim because I was so frustrated with my hair. So far it's worked well, and pretty immediately I noticed a lot of good effects. I have used it for almost 3 months.Pros:- Very fresh smelling- Seems to relieve scalp irritation a bit- Lathers up fairly easily. I'm used to using sulfate free shampoo, and I find this lathers up better than most of the others I've tried.- My hair quit shedding!! Like almost 100% quit. Used to lose quite a lot while shampooing and brushing. Now it's so minimal that I don't even notice.- The packaging is pretty sturdy. I've used other products where the pump or bottle is very flimsy, and that isn't the case with this shampoo.(Potential) Cons:- Dries out the scalp a bit, and hair gets pretty dry, too. This is pretty easy for me to get around though by putting aloe on my scalp when it's too dry, and conditioning after washing each time- Builds up quite a bit on the scalp and hair. My hair gets tangled pretty easily lately. Probably should use a clarifying shampoo every so often and that would solve this, I imagine.- It's a bit expensive, but I've washed my hair almost every day for 3 months and I've still got almost half the bottle remaining. My hair is pretty short in length so I don't need to use much.Other things:Not sure if I've noticed any true increase in hair growth, but I think with the lack of shedding I should be able to determine that soon enough.

I use this daily as my shampoo routine, this helps with hair thinning and so far it works pretty well. I've noticed that my hair is growing longer and slightly thicker at the same time. Since I'm new to the product I'm still getting used to. How much time it will take to actually thicken hair if it does it all? But as far as growth goes it does help. I also recommend getting this paired with the conditioner to keep your hair from feeling stiff after shampooing

This is such a good hair shampoo, and it lathers so well so you don't have to use a ton! I have been using this stuff for months and it is very nice, the smell is not bad, and it is actually quite nice. I don't notice any hair growth, but it makes my hair very soft to the touch and does not leave it too dry. You could do this weekly, and your hair will be fine. It is on the pricier side and is no miracle which is why I gave it a four-star rating but it is very nice. No leakage from the bottle at all though.

This shampoo is pretty incredible. I don't know if it actually facilitates new hair growth, but there is no doubt that it makes hair fuller and it grows faster. I've definitely noticed a difference in my hair and highly recommend it.

UPDATE: FEBRUARY 12, 2017- My Two Year PURA D'OR Anniversary. Don't think I have ever stayed with one product for so long. It still is working for me!!!QUICK REVIEW: This shampoo helped regrow my postmenopausal (plus recent hysterectomy) thinning hair. It has no silicones (silicones clog pores) but you might need a no silicone conditoner for detangling afterwards. Use it faithfully for at least 3 months. Take before and after pictures to see how your hair is progressing. Read my full story when you have time. It will tell you how the first year went. Also, I have just purchased and left a review for Pura D'OR Deep Moisturizing Conditioner, which pairs nicely with the shampoo especially of you have dry, curly, or hard to comb out hair. It also is my pick if you are used to regular shampoo and conditoner because it will gives hair more "slip" but does not weigh it down. If you have hair that goes flat in one day (fine and oily) then go with the regular "blue label" conditioner. I am very impressed with all of these products. So skeptical that I took a before and after picture to see if it was working. I had pretty full hair until I became of a certain age. Slowly I could see my hair thinning, especially in the front. I went to a dermatologist who told me there was not much I could do. I wanted to tell myself that it wasn't true but I would not only find hair all over the shower but everywhere else, too. As far as me, I shampoo daily and have for many years. This shampoo has a pleasant smell (reminds me of incense) but not overpowering or lingering. You will probably need a conditioner afterwards as it appears to be very cleansing. I have colored hair and it did not strip the color. My hair now has body, much more shine and is noticeably thicker. I think you can see that by my before and after pictures. I hope you will give it a try before you give up on your hair.SIX MONTH UPDATE: After six months my hair has stayed thicker with no hair loss. I do continue to use Pura D'or Premium at least three days a weeks. I do switch off with low poo shampoo or apple cider vinegar a few times a week also. Like many women, my hair feels dryer or oiler as the seasons and weather changes. Also, even with great products sometimes switching it up is good! By the way, it pays to stick with this shampoo exclusively for at least three months. It takes time for hair to grow and to see a difference. So, I am pretty close to using it for one year. I took a few pictures today. I don't know if I really have any improvement over the last 6 months, maybe a little. Certainly, I have much improvement over my very first picture. My hair was broken off and very sparse at least an inch or two in. My scalp looked red and a bit angry. My fine front hair is definately a little longer at this point and you can't see my scalp anymore. My hair dresser said my hair was overall a bit thicker in December. This is the first time she has said that and I ask her EVERY time!! I have gotten used to using this shampoo which has no silicones and makes your hair a bit tangled before conditioning. I was so used to the slickness of silicones that I figured that this shampoo was drying out my hair. It was not. I have learned that the silicones can build up and also lead to hairloss. So it is a reason to keep using this shampoo and conditioner or at least one that is silicone free. I do recommend trying the Pura d'or Conditioner. Upon first few uses, I can't say whether it helps to thicken your hair, but it does leave it softer and with a bit more body than usual. However, the scent is so bad - a chemically lemon smell - it's almost a deal breaker. Do the folks who make this stuff think we don't care about smelling like a metallic citrus? Is it that hard to infuse w/ a pleasant coconut scent? Beyond ridiculous. Fix this asap, people. Your shampoo seems very cool, but it literally stinks.

I have stopped shedding since using this shampoo. My hair is pretty thick but it appears more voluminous. It is very gentle, smells lovely and leaves hair soft. I do use great conditioners so my hair is usually very shiny and soft.

I have used this product now for months and just recently purchase more. It does work well and i believe gives my hair more thickness. As I can't see thickness and its not like your wife says oh your hair looks thicker it gives my hair a different feel that i really like but you do need to leave it on for 5 minutes. I have longer hair that is graying and I will say that when brushing my hair I do not have a brush full of hair like i had in the past so hopefully it has slowed my shedding.
