Treo Milton Cask Water Dispensing Jar, 8000 ml, Transparent

Lid and tap was silver in colour . Rest everything was exactly as described.Tap is plastic material.We purchased it June 21 and today March 22, suddenly some sound came and sadly it chipped just like that from the bottom.

First the tap was leaking, so fixed the leak with some hot glue. Then one day the jar broke on its own !!! I had been fermenting 'Kanji' in it.The glass couldn't take the stress of fermentation.Poor quality glass jar, Was let down by Treo.I wanted to know how a glass could break on its own and found out that 'Most glassware is “annealed” after manufacture by reheating it to just below melting, to relieve these stresses, but probably not decorative glass.Which explains why it broke 'cause it's just decorative glass.Don't recommend it.

So far I don't have any complaints about this product except one.The plastic tap is feeble. It feels like it can break off any moment.Hope the glass is food grade (lead free). Treo is a popular name is glass-ware I assume it will provide food grade materials only.

Please do not buy this product as it cracks by itself within a few days of use. Bought the same one twice but both of them cracked.

The media could not be loaded. When I used the jar for the very first time, the water is leaking from the tap as the tap is very poor quality and leakage is going to be there considering how loose it is. Not worth buying ☹️

Good product, Only stand is not strong but its ok to carry jar weight.
