Piece of Cr*p.The thing about functional objects is exactly that…. They should be functional.This is not functional.I used this once and it rang and the next time I went to queue it up ( 1 hr later) it wouldn’t ring.It’s got a good weight to it. Attractive design. But none of that means squat when the timer doesn’t actually alert you to it being done.To be clear, I didn’t drop it, misuse or mishandle it. I was using it at my desk to do Pomodoro time management. How can this thing possibly be used in a kitchen (much harsher environment) when I won’t function at a desk?!Ridiculous.Edit: I disassembled it and it’s made of soft (aluminum?) metal and plastic. The single thing driving the entire mechanism is a 1/4” wide 1/8th a millimeter thick piece of sheet metal. No wonder it won’t ring. The PoC “spring” has no “memory” and thus will not recoil or spring back providing the force needed to drive the entire unit. Also all the gears are plastic, any amount of force on them disintegrates the teeth of the gears and renders them useless. Absolute garbage. Spend your money elsewhere.

Emits the tiniest & shortest little blip of a noise that you can possibly imagine. If you have the timer turned on and the dishwasher running, not to say family noise or TV, forget it. You'll never hear it.

Old fashioned looking but attractive and just what I wanted. However, like some of the other reviewers, I wish the alarm was louder. I bought two of them and one alarm is louder than the other. Oh well, at least I know what I have to do when one of the alarms goes off because they ARE different.

It doesn’t work. Am I missing something. I’ve set it a few times.

Timer is easy to use and read, but the feature that really makes my day is the magnet attachment. I can put it on the stove or refrigerator instead of the counter. Makes it ultra handy. Takes up no space, is there whenever I need it, and looks good where ever it is.

the first one I got had no alarm and I requested to return it which I have not done before. it was so simple; they just sent a replacement which works well. it was important to me to have a loud alarm of some duration and a strong magnet to stick to the fridge. I may get another for a back up.

This timer does not have a bell that let's you know when the time is up. You have to keep looking at it to see when it reaches zero. Totally pointless as a timer. I would return but the first one didn't work at all and apparently you can only exchange it once.

First one wouldn't ring. Sent back. Replacement won't ring. Makes noise ticking down but that's it. Going to dissect this one to see if I can get it to work. It feels well made and looks really cool so it's got that going for it.

It DOES NOT RING when timer stops! This was right out of the packaging. We turned the dial to 50 minutes then down to 10 - did not work. Tried several other timings. It ticks ... then stops without ringing. Pretty useless as a timer.

I misunderstood how to use it at first, but when I realized what to do it worked great.You need to wind wll the way back to at least 50, then forwards again to the time you want.
