Q: can this be used as a leave in?

It's rather heavy, I wouldn't recommend using it as a leave in. This serum is used before chemical services to help moisturize the hair. I would recommend purchasing the leave-in from Affrim or try using Pravanna (Pravanna.com...) spray leave-in as it is not heavy and it will not leave your hair oily and weighed down. Q: where are directions.

The directions are in the back of the container: It Reads " Apply a small amount throughout whole head of hair. A thin coating is all that is required. Make sure is apply to entire head including new growth. Do not over wet hair, and do not rinse.

Yes you can. It is designed to be used to protect the hair immediately prior to relaxing. However, you can use it anytime.
