Perfect set for home use!
Bought this kit to replace a single dental tool I have used for many years. I picked this kit for the particular shapes that came with it. I took close-ups of the ends for you. I felt this pack had just the right mix, without over doing it, and no duplicates, like some of the other sets on Amazon.I find these particularly handy for cleaning around the backs of my wisdom teeth, as no toothbrush can fit back there and do the job well.I like the variety of this pack, and the handy mirror too. I may start trying my hand at removing tarter now :)The washable, plastic case it comes in is a nice, safe way to store them & carry them around. They are a nice weight, with good grips.I will update this review down the road if I discover any flaws about them, but so far, so good!& FYI, these are SHARP. If you are new to using them, be careful, go slow, keep away from children, & make sure you disinfect them before & after use.

Great Product, Just What I Needed
These dental tools work very well. My dentist is after me to have Laser Surgery to remove plaque at the cost of $4,400. Another dentist I consulted wanted to remove all my teeth and replace them with dentures to the tune of $10,000! I decided to try to remove as much of the plaque that I could myself, so I ordered these tools. A lot of the easy plaque came off within minutes using these tools. I'm working on the rest a little at a time as they are harder to get to.

Love playing with my teeth to keep it clean.
I love being able to play with my teeth like this. To be able to see the plaque build up on my front bottom teeth and actually be able to work on removing it on my own, between my 6 month regular cleaning at the dentist. This is for you. Just the mirror alone is worth it. Because you can also use it for other purposes besides teeth, as long as you keep it clean and not stick it up your nose. But at my age, you get to use it to really see the nose and ear hair so that you can really get rid of as much as possible when you are trimming those areas. If you like keeping your teeth clean, then buy this set.

All rusted
After receiving them, I put them in boiling water to sterilize them before using and they are all rusted. Didn’t even get to use them because I don’t want to put rusted tools in my mouth. Wasted money!!!

Great dental tool kit
I love all the various tools in this kit. It even has the mirror which is awesome. I also love that it comes in it's own case so I can have all my dental tools handy when I get something stuck in my teeth especially. That drives me crazy! Great experience with the seller too! Really glad I purchased this set.

Pretty useful
The mirror is not fog proof, but the rest of the three tools are pretty useful. I used them to scale and scrap off tartar from my pup's teeth. It is pretty effective. See result in the picture.

Great quality Dental Hygiene
You should know that there is always a risk on using these types of tools if you're not careful. You can easily damage your gums, recede your gums or create other problems if you're not careful. My dentist doesn't like that I use them, but I don't know if that's because he wants me to come more often to his office. In the end, be very careful using them as they're sharp.Personally I take my time and do it slowly to not damage my gums or cause unnecessary harm to my teeth. Each tool quality is great, good weight and length that it makes it easier to handle. I use them to essentially remove the calculus that happens on the back of my lower teeth. Daily flossing and brushing reduces the time it takes to build up. I'll use these tools once or twice a month. The tools are sharp, unlike the once you buy over the counters at drug stores. I like the sharpness as it lets me be more accurate and work less.I think this is a good tool to use and help complete your dental hygiene at home. I'm very satisfied with the quality of this product and would recommend it.

Could be extremely dangerous......particularly in the untrained hand
I can't believe that I purchased these items, on the basis that like ears; where the only thing that you should place in your ears is your elbow, similarly, these tools are sold to the general public to work on their own dentition, completely untrained. This type of instrument would routinely be used by dental hygienists, who undertake training to a minimum of two years, but often longer and take a degree. During that time, they undertake training to learn how to remove calculus/tartar from both above and below the level of the gums, as well as a host of other skills. So why did I buy these instruments? To be honest, I purchased them on a whim as I needed a dental mirror and whilst I did not expect them to be of the same quality as those produced by hand many years ago by the company of Claudius Ash, these instruments are really of poor construction, but more importantly could cause serious damage to dental and surrounding tissue. Of value might I suggest is the dental mirror, if you want to examine your own mouth, the rest of the instruments should be placed in a tool box at worst and at best in the bin. Not only are they of very poor quality, they could also cause serious harm if used incorrectly. If you must buy them, be prepared to cause harm to others or yourself. Dental hygiene might seem relatively simple to practice, however, it isn't and if you have a built up of calcified material you would be better served having it removed by a professional; it will be removed completely, safely and painlessly. Should you twish to remove food residue, from between your teeth or similar, again seek help from your dental hygienist to determine what type of cleaning method you might use including, how to brush thoroughly, interdental cleaning with the use of floss, dental brushes or pressurised liquid - it may be that you need to visit your dentist to have the "food trap" removed through adjusting a filling etc..Suffice to say, don't waste your money on these instruments, at best you won't do a thorough job and at worst you could really hurt yourself.

Only one of the picks I really find useful in my case however
Haven't tried other kits, but this seems to do the job. Only one of the picks I really find useful in my case however.I am sure my dentist will be surprised, proud, happy about my teeth maintenance at next check-up, at same time I'll also ask if it's bad idea or not, besides them maybe losing a bit of work.

Complete rubbish.
Absolute rubbish. The tools were very roughly ground. Are not rust resistant, as they are made from a steel with a very high carbon content, and therefore THEY WILL RUST. The mirror is plastic and rubbish. Thought I was buying a good quality product, at a genuine reduction, given the original price.
