Jason Bateman and Alexander SkarsgÄrd star is this drama centered on a group of people searching for human connections in today's wired world. Extremely well received on the festival circuit, LD Entertainment is releasing the picture in April. This album includes the entire score composed by Max Richter (Waltz With Bashir, Sarah's Key) for the film. It is an emotional and beautiful score which plays a central role in the film.

Great Soundtrack!!!
Saw the film in Los Angeles about two weeks ago, after paying $20 at an AMC, was hoping that I didn't just waste a whole lot of money. I was very happy to say that I really enjoyed the film. The music goes very well with the film and keeps the pace steadily. Great film music to listen to in the car and I highly recommend it and seeing the film as well.

Achingly beautiful
Disconnect was such an intense and thought-provoking movie (I liked it) - I found myself being drawn in even further emotionally by the beautiful score and theme variation that is thread throughout the movie. Unwritten and The Swimmer make my heart ache they are so beautiful, though I have thoroughly enjoyed every track. I have not been even the slightest bit disappointed in my purchase of this soundtrack.

Haunting and Beautiful: Richter Strikes Again, but with a Caveat
I love Max Richter's work. As someone who has recently discovered this artists' work, I was excited to see this new soundtrack available.First with the bad: several of the tracks are exact copies of Richter's earlier work which frankly was disappointing. For example the song "On the Nature of Daylight" from Blue Notebooks is on the soundtrack. This beautiful motif is expressed throughout the soundtrack to wonderful effect but it felt a bit lazy on his part not to come up with an entirely new score for a movie soundtrack. The second problem is with the track "drycleaner" which is nearly identical to a track from Cliff Martinez's Drive Soundtrack (which I love). Besides that, this was an amazing soundtrack. Now for the good: Richter takes a more minimalist approach for this soundtrack and I often felt like I was listening to the aforementioned Cliff Martinez' Drive soundtrack which was one of my favorite soundtracks of that year. There are some haunting and beautiful tracks and my favorite, "Confrontation," seamlessly integrates a minimalist sense of brooding with the "On the Nature of Daylight theme."Overall I highly recommend this soundtrack to fans of minimalist music, Cliff Martinez, and Max Richter despite its limited shortcomings. There is plenty of new material to merit the purchase price.
