This worked really well for my students. We made little pumpkin patches and each bag contained enough to make about 5 small pumpkins. The clay itself ranged from super sticky to very workable. A few of my students struggled but they figured it out quickly. It does dry fairly fast so just be aware. To make the stems I was able to just color with a brown Crayola marker and then mix it together. Overall this was perfect for a classroom activity and my students really enjoyed it. If you're looking for a wider range of colors I'd just get a large tub of white and color it with markers but if you have a specific craft in mind this is definitely easier. Overall a great deal.

This Artsity White Air Dry Clay was not appropriate for the project I ordered it for (making molds from decorative furniture composite ornaments) but it is definitely affordable fun and worry free for children or anyone looking for creative and tactile stimulation or a rainy day project. It could also be used with molds/forms/presses or just hand-fashioning to create exterior structural texture areas for dollhouses, etc.There is no smell, no staining, no stickiness, no residue; it is workable for a good amount of time before drying out, and when dry it has the texture and appearance of a Peep (marshmallow candy)! Lol! My only concern would be that young children or other inexperienced, curious users might want to put it in their mouth, so supervision or explicit instructions NOT to taste it would be in order.

This tan color works well when mixed with black and green to form a nice camo combination. The texture is the nice feeling air dry clay, good consistency and not dried out. Mixes well with other colors. Drys appropriately in a day or two. Overall, good quality air dry clay.

Someone suggested that perhaps some water could be added to this clay to make this more workable, and I tried that after the first attempt to make some crafts with this clay. That turned into an even bigger mess.I have a bunch of small bags of clay that I’m not sure what to do with.

I've had a lot of fun with air dry clay recently, ever since receiving a gift set from a company called Hey Clay (which also offers an app with project ideas). I really enjoyed building their kit, but I wanted more opportunities to craft with clay, and that's led me to search out more sources for the raw materials so I can keep making more art projects.The primary problem with clay is either you get too little or too much: there's never the perfect amount for a project, and leftover air dry clay... well, air dries. Doh.That's why I really like this set - you get 36 individual portion sizes, so you can open exactly as much as you need to make a project, and the rest stays fresh for next time. I ordered it in white, as I feel I'm always in need of more white and black when making projects. If you pick up red/yellow/blue/white/black you'll have years of craft sessions covered for a typical kid ready to go... but a multicolored kit with 10 of each or something would be a really nice thing for the company to offer going forward.Nice product, convenient packaging, fair price.
