Once a week and a gallon of chlorine and it stays just about perfect. A little pricey, but so are the chemicals and hassles of constantly adjusting Ph and alkalinity. Biggest problem…getting the kid-proof lid started!

E-Z Pool was recommended to me by my local pool store specialist who has been in the business for 30 plus years and has tried all the brands over that time. She came by this particular brand and was impressed by its ability to keep pools clear and free of algae when other brands were not up to the task especially in seasons where algae problems were prominent.

Since purchasing a house with a 20k gallon pool in 2012, I’ve struggled with the pool’s PH and alkalinity. For persons with sensitive skin this chemical imbalance can cause skin irritation.A few years ago, a pool contractor recommended E-Z Pool to me, but I felt it was too expensive. At the beginning of the 2023 pool season, I decided to give it a try. The normal weekly dose for my pool is 4 scoops. For the first couple of weekly treatments, I used twice that amount. The initial results were ok, but there was only minimal improvement with the PH and alkalinity. On the third week I cut back to the normal dosage of 4 scoops, and the pool’s chemistry stayed flat. After about two months of using E-Z Pool, I put 27 lbs of baking soda in the pool. Within days I saw much improvement in the PH and alkalinity. When the PH and alkalinity levels began regressing, I started adding 7 lbs of baking soda with each weekly dose of E-Z Pool. The combination of the two have brought pool’s chemistry to near perfection. No more skin rashes!Also, I used to run my pump/filter for 8 hours per day. Now I’ve cut it back to 5 hours (savings). E-Z Pool has allowed me to cut my chlorine usage to half of what it was (another savings).By the way, next to water, baking soda is least expensive additive to my pool. Sam’s club sells 13.5 lb bags of Arm & Hammer for $8.66 each.

This is a good product.

Love this stuff, but the price has increased over the last year--very expensive. The product works great in spas or pool. A one-cup-dump and go!
