great taste
Once brewed, it has a slight dark yellow color. I was able to get a couple of brews using the same leaves. It has a rich taste and a slightly sweet aroma.

Red Robe Tea is Nice.
The color is quite lovely. It’s a golden yellow with a bit of orange in it. It smelled nice out of the bag (not super nice, but nice). It’s a roasted tea and a solid tasting tea. It doesn’t have that little something extra that makes oolong taste so magical, though. It’s a warm, full flavor with a tiny bit of metallic tang. It tastes nice with sugar, too. The sugar didn’t add or subtract anything. It was still all average. It’s a nice, solid everyday kind of tea.It comes in a resealable brown bag. The expiration date on mine is 4/01/2027.

Subtle flavor.
First thing is that this is made from tea leaves, that not chopped up fine, so they are long and chunky. Oolong means black dragon in chinese and it is describing the shape of the tea leaves. I use a spoon like a tea ball and the leaves really did not fit. I ended up dumping the leaves into the hot water, letting them brew, then straining. Not a problem because the tea itself is good. Very light in color and taste. leaves can be used for another cup as good as the first. I found the taste more woodsy then floral and a mixture of green and black tea flavor, very interesting. So get this and enjoy!

Rich aroma
This is the first time I am trying a dahongpao tea. I’ve definitely heard of it before because both my parents were tea lovers but I never got a chance to try it. The Yuexi Dahongpao is rich and fragrant. The smell is floral and long lasting. I don’t like strong tea so I used a little less tea leaves as suggested. The tea is very smooth and tasty. The tea can be steeped multiple times and still has a good taste. Very good quality.

Delicious and fragrant
This Da Hong Pao Oolong tea is delicious and fragrant. The loose tea leaf has the shape of slightly twisted strips. The quality seems good and it smells fresh. I steep 2 teaspoons of this in a cup of 200°F water for 1 minute. It has a mellow, floral and fruity flavor with a sweet aftertaste. The aroma is lovely as well. I really enjoy this distinct Oolong tea. The tea leaf can be re-steeped for up to half a dozen times. This comes in a resealable, Kraft bag with a little window in the front. Mine is good until 04/2027 (a shelf life of 36 months). Originated in Fujian. Product of China. Overall, I really like this tea. It tastes great and smells lovely. It is moderately caffeinated. I would recommend giving it a try. A good tea.

Great sampler size
This was a nice sized package of dahongpao (big red robe) tea leaves. It was enough for at least 10 brews for my teapot, which was enough for me to decide whether or not to buy more big red robe leaves. The taste of the tea is pretty strong but not acrid and I found myself really enjoying the flavor of this deeper roast. I would definitely recommend this specific brand as the size is great for a beginner to sample and the quality of the tea leaves were pretty decent.
