Alex Little Hands Learn To Dress Kitty Kids Toddler Art and Craft Activity

I bought this for my 2 year old grandson and he immediately loved it! It's very well made: there are no raw fabric edges, everything is very well put together and it has a nice weight to it. The buttons, zipper, etc, are easy enough for a child to manipulate. I especially like that the zipper is easy to pull. Some of the other toys had zippers that were attached in a way that required the child to hold the fabric while pulling the zipper, which is a 2-handed task, something most 2 year olds could not do. This is an easy one. Also, ALL his clothing comes off: shoes, socks, jumper and shirt. Very nifty. I know that my grandson will enjoy this for a long time and then his younger brother, who is now just 6 months old, will enjoy it also. It's a wonderful, sturdy TOY as well as an educational tool.Someone mentioned the button holes being too small, but that was not the case on the one I received. They aren't especially loose, but they seem appropriately sized to require a bit of effort without frustrating the child. And the buttonholes are nicely finished also, so there are no hanging threads to trim off.Not sure if it's washable or not, I cannot remember, and nobody mentioned it in their reviews, I just checked. I think you could hand wash the clothing, however .Definitely buy this over the other options, I'm glad I did.

I ordered this toy for my son who is 16 months old. It came today and I was super surpirsed at how large the toy is, how cute it is, and how many different activities it actually has. I haven't given it to my son yet, as I'm waiting for Christmas, but I'm just sure he's going to love it! The buttons and zipper pull are the perfect size for tiny fingers and I love that his shoes and socks come off! This was definately a good purchase and I'm so glad that this is the one I chose for my son. The details on the toy are really impressive and the quality is just as impressive. For the price, this was definately a great purchase. I'm a very satisfied customer!

At first my son was not interested in this toy at all (he was 2). But over time I would find him fiddling with the button or zipper. It started with helping him dress, undress, and redress the monkey but I noticed that all of a sudden my son was buttoning his shirts on his own or working on tying his shoes. Its better than any other $40 doll out there because its not $40 and its the same thing as the more expensive dolls. Its cuter too in my opinion. My son has had it for 2 years now so far and its still in great condition. We'll keep it around for my daughter to learn from when she is a little older. Everything comes off by the way. From the shirt to the socks and the banana. My son had it down though that the clothes were toys and therefore if they weren't on the monkey at clean up time, they just went into the toy box. That is till he started wearing the socks around :-) Good worth the money toy.

This is a cute modern twist on the old learning toy.The only problems I had with it is that the zipper came with a thread stuck in it, the button was VERY tight in the buttonhole and some of the other fasteners were not immediately apparent. These things caused a little impatience and frustration in an 18 month old while we fixed them. A child the age this toy is designed for might not see different fasteners, so I suggest an older child or grown-up go through the various places and make sure they work properly and that the little one knows what will or will not come undone.Also, the toy is fastened to the cardboard display backing VERY well, and required scissors to get it loose. I suggest you remove the backing before wrapping it or giving it to your child to avoid frustration for everyone. The colors are bright, the cat is very cute and of a good size.I don't know yet how it will stand up to washing, so I can't comment on that. With the bright colors, I worry that the dyes might bleed.I liked that the toy was stuffed firmly. While it makes the toy less "huggable", it makes a firmer support for the fasteners to be pushed, pulled, etc. Overall, I would recommend this toy for teaching a baby to dress his/herself.

I bought this for my 4 1/2 year old daughter who will be starting Kindergarten soon and still has difficulty with fastening her pants. I'm very pleased. I thought the $30+ price tag was a bit steep, but when I pulled this kitty out of the box I understood why it cost a little more. It's huge! (This is the regular size. They do offer a GIANT size as well.) The colors are bright and the body is soft enough for my little girl to sleep with. She LOVES this toy and is eager to dress her kitty, not realizing she is teaching HERSELF. It includes buttons, a zipper, snaps, a belt loop on the back, removable socks and shoes, loop/button closure, and others. I would definitely recommend this toy to fellow parents/caregivers!

I got this for my 2 1/2 yr. old granddaughter and she loves it. The shoes and socks are the biggest attraction, on and off frequently, (and easier off than back on). I think if the shoes and/or socks are ever lost, you can replace them with regular baby shoes and socks. She's pretty good with the zipper and buttons, and the buckle will take some practice but she's persistent. Her mom chose to not tell her that the clothes come off too. I'm sure she'll figure that out soon!The quality of this monkey is good. He's soft and the perfect weight for little ones to carry around. His face is so cheerful. She loves him and hugs and kisses him, covers him with a blanket, gives him bites of his little banana. It's so cute.

I bought this when my granddaughter was just 18 month old granddaughter was too young to manage all of the tasks such the buttons or shoe laces yet that hasn't stopped her from becoming obsessed with "Alex". She loves to pretend he's eating the banana attached to his hand, and because he's almost her sizes she loves to have him copy what she is doing. He sits where she sits, sleeps when she sleep and dances with her to her favorite songs. This well made doll has even done well in the dryer after she has undressed him and taken him into the bath. Great well made toy.

Cute toy, my 4 year old loves it. Mine did have a few issues with it, Velcro on the shirt was put on wrong, two of the same pieces so it does not stick together, the button on the strap fell off. I was going to send it back and get a new one, but my daughter won't let it go so I fixed it myself.

Se lo compré para mi sobrina de 3 años, que le estaba costando un poco aprender a vestirse y desvestirse. Es un muñeco que cumple las expectativas, y que ayuda al niño a aprender el manejo de botones, cremalleras y cordones. Lo recomiendo.

Mon fils et moi adorons ce singe. Il est très grand (environ 50 cm) et il est très complet pour l apprentissage de l habillage ou juste s'amuser avec toutes ces petites activités. Le singe peut se déshabiller complètement (on peut donc enlever la salopette le t shirt les chaussettes et les chaussures). Comme indiquer sur le derrière du carton on a (lacets, fermeture éclair, scratch, 2 boutons a enlever de 2 façons différentes, des pressions,...). Pour le moment mon fils de 9 mois et demi s'amuse à enlever enlever les lacets et les boutons pressions. C'est un très bon éveil pour les plus petits et un très bon apprentissage pour les plus grands.Le singe est de bonne qualité, les habits et les chaussures (de vrai chaussures) aussi.Je recommande les yeux fermés.
