Grande Epicure M6001006 7-Inch by 14-Inch by 3/4-Inch Paddle Board

I bought this to replace my mother's wooden cutting board, which after 50 years of steady use, finally split!It is a worthy replacement--sturdy, attractive and just the right size for small cutting jobs.It comes unfinished. I oiled it with this oil:  Snow River 8-Ounce Wood Oil . I noticed just while writing this review that both the oil and the cutting board are from Snow River. In any case, this oil worked great on this board and after one application gave it a beautiful finish that is easy to wash.

After looking at the glowing reviews of this cutting board I guess I was the only person that found it to be an unfinished and un sanded hunk of wood. Third use provided me with a splinter to my finger from the un noticed at first splinting around the handle, which is even worse then the lack of finishing on the cutting surfaces as well as the sides of the hunk of wood. Does Amazon inspect the quality of the products they sell? I know I could sand it myself, but that might prevent me from being able to return it, and after all this was not an item of un finished furniture.

I've had this cutting board less than three weeks and only used it twice, and all three of the glue joints are beginning to separate, with light visible through the cracks, at the handle end of the board. What puzzles me, I had a nearly identical cutting board for 35 years until it began to separate last month. Evidently glues these days don't hold as well. Kudos to Amazon for a full refund, and I didn't have to ship it back. I guess I'll reorder and join the solid plastic crowd.

Good quality board. It is small, but provides the function I was looking for. It's a good addition to my kitchen.

Love this cutting board. Nice size and thickness. Made of real wood which I oiled lightly. Works great for smaller jobs. Cutting boards with handles are not that easy to find, was glad amazon had what I was looking for.

what i needed was a 14x8 or so paddle board. i thought 14x7 would be okay, BUT the handle is too short, the weight of the board, even unloaded, tries to pull the board out of the hand. not good for carrying a bowl or small plate of something across the room.ps - some have complained that it is a bit rough. it's not to bad. a little 600 sandpaper would take care of that real quick-like.

Needed this for an art project Christmas present. It was perfect. Held the paint well and turned out beautifully. Very easy to work with and the edges were nice and smooth.
