Joseph Joseph Elevate Kitchen Knives 5-piece set, Japanese Stainless Steel, Slimline Bamboo Knife block

Due to having quite a small kitchen I my new apartment, I needed a knife set that wouldn’t take too much room.I stumbled across this knife set from Joseph joseph, I find a lot of products from this brand are quite overpriced and expensive.Although I did like the design of this knife set, it is a slim block design and features a removable knife sharpener built in.The quality of the knifes are great with the blades being Japanese.Very sharp and lovely to use. The elevate feature of the knife is handy as well as it prevents the blade from touching the surface.The block itself isn’t that great in quality but it doesn’t feel too cheap.Quite an expensive set of knifes. I bought them for £100 which I did feel was rather pricey, but for the space saving design I was willing to pay the price for it.

While I got these for their built in sharpener, I've since learned that they can sometimes make the knives worse and you're best getting some different whetstones - up to you.Knife block is neat and well designed as the side openings mean that you can slot your knives in even if your wall mounted kitchen cupboards sit low, and it won't dull the edge by sliding the blade in and out.

So good he named himself twice.These knives are just what I needed to replace my set which were so blunt they were ripping rather than slicing through anything. They look good and fit nicely into the knife block and are really sharp so cut brilliantly. The knife block is slim so doesn't take up much room on the worktop and the sharpener contained within the block is a welcome feature and will help to keep these knives as sharp as the day they were delivered.
