I had initially purchased the 5 set of this candle set from same vendor and thought this was the same product with the exception of quantity. . When packaged arrived today I discovered that they are not the same. From my quick review of product I think the difference is the wick/flame presentation. This set has a bulb that flickers where as the first set has a plastic/filament that actually moves and reflects light in base of candle. Outside, candles look identical. No problem, thought I could return item and order the other set. When I started that process not only was I told that I would have to pay for shipping back(I am Prime Acct), also I would need to pay for a re-stocking fee. When I added up the costs of two charges it was more than what I paid for them. I am being told that this is mfg/vendor choice. Don't know if this is the case but in either way I find this highly un-acceptable process especially when I wanted to buy more of their product. Amazon needs to be more clear as to return charges on an item by item basis because if you can't return an item that would be a major reason why I might not purchase an item given all things equal if I knew. Buyer beware for several reasons.Update: 12/13 Seller contacted me and refunded not all but most of cost of item and appeared to be very pro-active to make right from the start so I am going to give them a five stars for customer support. I think both products are good but there is a difference in the light presentation. Depending on what you want to spend and where you place them either one would work great. I do believe there needs to be a link or info displayed on all product items for return and restocking charges. Also, if you are Prime customer part of that benefit shoutd be no charge for returns. Other major retailers have no charge return policies without paying a Prime charge so Amazon needs to rectify that. Amazon implied it was seller choice. Seller stated in email that it was Amazon choice. If the later I think Amazon needs to better communicate on product page the policy. Thank you Aignis.

I ordered this set to use with a fireplace candelabra (also purchased from Amazon) in our fireplace. The product arrived well packaged in perfect condition. The vendor photos are a good representation of the appearance, they are very good looking. The diameter is 2.2 inches, just as noted in the description, so it isn't a really thick column type candle, but on a candelabra with 3 inch holders, it is a perfect fit. The "flame" appearance is fairly realistic, the color of the light is a warm yellowish color as a real candle flame. The candles themselves are slightly off-white. I was concerned as to whether the remote would work with the glass fireplace doors closed, but it works just fine. The doors are open in the attached photo so the candles show up, but I normally keep the doors closed. I am so far very pleased with this purchase!

These candles look real, the wax outside even feel real and no weird smell. They are smaller than the real candles, but hey, they use less space and look good. They work as described with flickering flame or solid warm. Additionally they are programmable, turning on and off at same time every day. Awesome for me because I am lazy and didn't want an additional daily task.

Sometimes you want the soft flickering light of a candle burning in a spot that you know you absolutely dare not put a flame. Case in point, right up against a ceiling beam. Other than one candle in the back being less responsive to the remote, I’ve found these battery operated candles to be just the thing. NOTE: If you plan to use battery powered devices a lot, I’ve found it best to use good quality rechargeable batteries. Even when not in use, if you are using the remote to control these be aware there is a trickle of power as the candle’s receivers are always “on”. For these candles I’m using Panasonic Eneloop (available on Amazon) for a fast recharge time and long life. The candle holders in the photo were also ordered from Amazon (Amalfi Décor Victoria 3-Piece Antique Gold Pillar Candle Holder Set).

Wow I love these! At first I was surprised that they’re skinny candles. I was expecting them to be wider. Guess I didn’t read the description well. But they are really beautiful! Comes with a remote so you can turn them off and on at once, set timer, adjust the flame, etc. really nice quality. Looks real!

The GOOD: the price on these has dropped dramatically it seems in the last 5 years. This has a nice waxy outer layer that looks like real candles. The flickering LED light is somewhat realistic. At a glance these look like real candles if you don't look too closely or for too long. Otherwise it's quickly apparent that they aren't real. No fire=safe around small children and pets. Remote is a bonus, with various options beyond just on/off though that works too. I ordered the large sample of sizes to have multiple options in terms of use...some are currently on candelabra and a few others will be placed on wall sconces for a very dark area of a hallway corner that lacks a main light source.The BAD: They aren't real and the flicker, while decent, is not the best I've seen. As mentioned, if you look at these for longer than about 2-3 seconds you'll quickly realize they're not real. Scentless candles is obviously a trade-off. I appreciate even the burnt wax smell of "scentless" candles...these will obviously have none. They are skinny. The diameter is noted at 2.2" which at this price range seems to be the most common size. They can look silly if place in small groupings or if you intend to use the taller skinny one on candle holders. These are more the size of altar candles. they each require 2 AA batteries which are not included. So you'll need 18 AA batteries which will run you a bit if you buy name brand. DO NOT leave these outdoors or on a windowsill that gets prolonged sunlight...they will melt!All in all, I would probably still buy these again for ambiance only since the price at <30USD is still pretty good.
