Looks just like a little kid
My Kelly doll is able to be a kid now. So cute! Perfect match for the head I have. I got the milky white. I think blonde Kelly is a bit pinker. The body feels sturdy and may hold up to some play. The joints are firm. You'll need a hair drier or heat gun to change the hands. There are a few that come with it. And there's only the one attachment peg with a nut, cap, and washer on it. Depending on the head you want to use, you may have to get creative like I did. Here's what I did to get her head on.Straws! Crazy, right? No glue involved, no damage to the head, and no extra stuff to buy! I checked all the thin plastic straws that I had saved for crafting. You might have to save a few from dining out. One fit really tight in the neck of the head and over the nut that comes with the body without splitting. It doesn't fit over the washer. It nests against the curve of the washer. I took everything off the peg and cut the straw to fit from the body neck below the peg pivot to about 1/4 inch before the end of the peg. I topped it with the plastic washer that came with the body, then the nut, trapping it loosely on the peg to allow for tilt. I fit another piece of the straw over the nut and made it long enough to touch the top inside of the head. I fit it to the head first, from the inside top of the head to the bottom of the head opening where the full neck is on the body. I marked where the edge of the neck was and pulled it out of the head. I lined that mark up with the start of the body neck and marked where the bottom of the nut was. That is where to cut it. Then fit the end of the straw piece over the nut and feed the head over your new straw peg until it seats against the neck of the body. The head slips up on the neck a little when I tilt it up and down. I just push it back down in place. And turning her head might unscrew the nut, so no 360s. But it holds well enough that it won't fall off. It will turn on its own though. But, instant articulated little kid, as you can see from my pictures. To fix the swivel issue you will need to carefully carve out the head a bit and find another straw that fits over the washer snuggly, and snug in the new neck opening you just carved. I did that. If you don't want to damage the head, though, that's not an option. For size comparison, yes the short doll is a Looks petite. The male is a 12 inch tall seamless, because articulated Ken's are a fairly new thing, and I haven't found a way to get one of the heads for a seamless doll on a Ken body yet.I love these bodies. I have several of the smaller ones from this line and just got the 8 inch one from another. My little girl grows from baby to young girl with full mobility at each stage. So glad I bought this body to complete that cycle. It's worth the cost. I recommend this doll body for both display and play.
