New sturdier design gives confidence. Not easy to erect
I liked the look of this chair as it provided a more robust square frame and came with the large foot cap for soft ground or sand. On other chairs this can be an expensive extra. Very well finished with robust seating points for the seat cover; two with little loops to make it easier to pull over the tensioned ends of the seat frame. Two pockets; one for a bottle or cup and the other ideal for phone or book.It loses a star as it is far from intuitive to put up. Usually these chairs when unpacked take on a life of their own and almost assemble for you. The square frame requires some thought to work out, however this may change with practice. The bag is a good size but slightly bulky. Its certainly more sturdy and consequently reassuring when sitting in it and comfortable too.

What's not to Like?
I really like this chair - lightweight and robust. Putting it back in the case takes a wee bit of practice - as resembles a set of bag pipes but good kit fairly priced.

A quality compact chair for not a lot of money
Brought this chair for a beach holiday in Spain. Compact enough to fit in my hand luggage which was all I was carrying. Simple to assemble the foot pads made it very stable on soft sand. Takes about a minute to put together if that. It was comfortable in the heat and took my 6ft frame easily and appears study, I used it for five days in a row. It is fiddly to fold the frame on disassembly at first but once you’ve done it a couple of times it becomes a lot easier. Great value for money I’m now wishing I’d brought the two pack as these will be great for camping.

Good chair - hard to pack up - zip broke on bag
This is a nice, easy and simple chair to set up. Each support pole works via a wire which helps pull into place and holds securely once set up. They spring into place but I found it very difficult to pack away.As you're trying to hold each pole, another will pop back together and the order isn't clear as I didn't have instructions for bagging. It was quite the task in working out the order for the bars to go back together and once in place there is a Velcro strap which holds in place but I just couldn't get it to reach.Several attempts had to be made to accommodate the bag and velcro strap. When placing back in the bag the zip broke (see pictures). So now I have a chair which springs back out and cannot be carried around.I can only give it a three for the chair itself but the portability of it is now nonexistent.

Great chairs
These are great to fit into your rucksack to take on a hike or to the beach. So easy to put up and down and comfortable to sit in.

2 tiny chairs. More complicated than assembling a tent. They are very portable though
The big advantage to these camping chairs is that they fold away to almost nothing. When in the bag they are aboutthe size of a shoe bag so you can easily stash one in a backpack or clip it onto the side of a bag without it hanging off akwardly. The big (pardon the pun) disadvantage is that they are tiny. They also need a huge amount of assembly. I was actually able to pop up our tent quicker than someone was able to assemble a chair. When unpacked this is a metal tube frame (in many pieces) with elasticated cord for slotting together. The feet are pressure fitted, and the seat material requires a bit of strength to flex the frame enough for it to slot over. Assembly is no easy task and if it is at the end of a long day you may just choose to sit on the ground instead. It's a very good idea to give it a practice assemble before going camping or there will be a few words said. Each seat has a pocket that hangs over each side. Left is big enough for a phone, right is perfectly beer can sized. The seat material is nylon and mesh for breathability, but it is very small. I'm 6ft 1 / 90kg (more muscle than belly) and when sat in it the back supports went under my shoulder blades and armpits. The seat left my bum less than 20cm off the ground and my knees very high in the air. So that in order to stand up you have to rock forward and onto your feet in a crouched position then up. If you do have mobility issues you will not be getting out of this chair wihout some help. For me this was ok to sit for a short amount of time. Any length of time and my back and neck started to ache. The Mrs also tried it. She's 5ft 2 petite but heavily pregnant and she thought it was very small too. She was surprised at how she managed to get out of it without assistance though. At £55.99 for 2 it's not great value. I'm sure you've seen better value camping chairs in certain supermarkets, but if you want an extremely compact chair or for kids it is a good option. Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful.
