The Bird Garden

While this book is older (published in 1995), I wasn't concerned at all as birds don't change. The pictures are great, and there are a lot of great suggestions.

I found a copy of The Bird Garden at a bookstore. It is a beautifully color illustrated book about birds and illustrations of various garden layouts that will draw birds native to your area. I love the book so ordered one for my sister. It is very helpful gor those who love to garden and enjoy birds. I highly recommend this book.

Great Book for anyone looking for ideas for natural landscaping to attract birds. There are great lists of appropriate plants to attract certain birds and specifics about birds and plants divided by region. Also a chapter of instructions to build various bird houses and feeders.

really handy to carry in the car for when i go to the nursery to buy something and want native...not always clear at the garden center. easy to read, well organized

It's a great little book with good information about birds and needed particulars about trees and shrubs (and more) to make your yard a habitat.

Excellent book for setting up your yard for bird watching -- simply or more complicated. Full of great ideas.

I love this book. I got it years ago and just ordered it for a friend. Since reading it any time I plant a shrub or bush in the yard I try to put in something that will benefit the birds somehow. Amazing what birds are attracted to what you plant if you plant the right things.
