Rat Trap

I picked up four broken bands. Went through nine total bands. No rats/mice caught even though there were.mice droppings in the tube. The hawks did more damage to the mice population than this thing did. The plastic ring designed to hold the band on chipped the first day it was set. The band was off, droppings in the tube, no mouse. Great concept, didn't work for me.

I set this trap in the attic in front of a game camera. I found that I was dealing with a possum not a rat or mouse but had a video of the possum trying to get at the peanut butter bait I used. Just couldn't get his head in the tube.

It works. based on how big the rat nest and droppings were, selected the Nooski Rat Trap. It took about 7 days but found the dead rat this morning. Since we have many animals that depend on "pure" environment, we could not put out poison. Even with the rubber noose, disposed of the rat in the trash rather than risk another animal ingesting a foreign material.

I am not sure why it deserves 3 stars. I guess because it is well made. The problem is that it doesn't seem to attract mice to enter the trap. It has been set up for a couple of months now and I have not gotten one mouse. I know that there are mice because they eat other poison in the area. A couple of days ago I installed a camera to see what is going on. The mice are not interested in the trap.

Bought these to trap chipmunks. 12 trips, ZERO catches. Bait was gone every time

Bought one at a local brick and mortar store just to see if it worked. Overnight success, victim was adult size. As advertised, I found the body within 4 inches outside of the trap. I saw the previous negative post, I just did not have that experience. Peanut butter (creamy) was my bait. Previously used the $45+ electronic traps and they worked great, but broke apart within a year and it was unpleasant to clean out with the zapped rat still inside.

Unfortunately the RAT trap was to big apparently it was 3 mice not a rat. i blow-darted 2 of them and just stomped on the other , the mice ate the bait inside the trap and were small enough to go right under the trigger

I still haven’t caught any rats 🐀
