Annoying and unattractive
These do provide the ability to catch drips from extra watering, but are so frustrating to get on properly and unattractive they aren't a good choice for most situations. The whole point of a hanging basket of flowers is their beauty so having a glaring tray hanging beneath the pot, and rather crooked at that, rather defeats the purpose. The trays I've used in the past only lasted one season before at least one of the plastic hangers broke making the tray useless on a hanging pot, so I hoped this attachment method would work better. I didn't count on the fact that I'd have to bend the hangers myself to hook over the pot lip. I thought the bend shown in the pictures did that and there was a little bulb on the other end that attached them to the tray somehow. Wrong! Although the hangers aren't hard to bend, getting them all exactly the same length after bending is. I learned the hard way on the first tray that bending them like a [ with both ends bending toward one another was wrong as they wouldn't stay on the pot when lots of water drained through after watering. They have to be bent like a Z. There are no instructions or helpful hints. If you don't get all four hooks bent exactly the same, the tray is not level, and if you don't bend them in the right spot the tray hangs too far below the bottom of the pot and is distracting. Getting the tray attached to the hanging pot is a hassle since you have to secure one hanger at a time and the others are prone to falling off--in my case into dense ivy where they are hard to find and retrieve. The nursery I use has started using pots that are slightly too big for the 10" trays I'd been using, but the 12" trays with the plastic hooks were too big to hook onto the pots, hence my search for an alternative. Since my baskets hang out in the yard in the sun, they can get very dry between waterings and I need a tray to hold the excess water that flows through until it can gradually be absorbed by the dry soil. Even though I took an old unused pot to use as a guide when bending the hooks initially, I found the tray still didn't set flush with the bottom of the hanging pot when I got it on so some of the excess water just pools there providing no benefit but rather sparkling in the sun and distracting from the pretty plant. Not the look I was going for.Bottom line, if you're super careful about bending the hooks and get them exactly right, and the trays are exactly the right size for your pots, and you can get them installed without having any of the hangers fall off in the process, you may find these trays to your liking. At least so far the hanger holes have not broken through and the trays do hold a fair amount of water, but I will not buy them again.

I THINK THESE WILL LAST
I bought these as the normal drip pans I buy for my hanging plants don't seem to last. They are not as easy to attach as the old type I use to use, but overall I think they are going last a lot longer. The company seems to be great also as when I received them I sent a message to the company as the drip pans had no holes in them for the metal hangers to go through. They apologize and sent out new drip pan within a couple days.

but directions for the hooks would have been nice. It took me a few minutes to figure ...
The right size for what I needed, however, I didn't receive enough hooks. My package was two hooks short. Now I have to either figure out how to contact them (hassle) or make my own hooks (another hassle). Not that it was difficult to figure out, but directions for the hooks would have been nice. It took me a few minutes to figure out what I was supposed to do with the straight end.

Perfect for 12" hanging plants.
Used on outdoor 12" hanging plants. The metal hangers that are used to suspend the drip pan below the pot are perfect. They can be shaped for the intended pot to suspend the drip pan at whatever height required. Simple design.

AT last
At long last these are it......I have used others that are all plastic, including the clip to attached to the basket. They do not hold up and are quite flimsy. These are sturdier and a much heavier plastic and work so well. My one suggestion is that the wire be a little longer for some of the 12" baskets are deeper and therefor the wire becomes very short to attach.

Not very sturdy
These seem to crack easily for weight of plastic used to make. I have tried doubling them up for more support. I have some footed planters that I would like deep drip pans for but haven't found any sturdy enough for the larger size planter. And my footed planters are not hanging they are on tables.
