Q: Would these fit on a swiffer?

No they will not fit the swifter!

Q: What am I doing wrong? Water beads up on mine, absorbs nothing! I've not washed them in anything but water

Are you using fabric softener? Never use that with any towel as it will not be absorbent. Instead of the softener, put white vinegar in your softener spot (or during your rinse cycle). It does NOT smell at all like white vinegar after washing. White vinegar is a natural fabric softener. :-)

Personally, I would not waste your money on these. They are the cheapest quality product. If you give them a one-star review, they will hound you to remove it and claim to pay you, but of course never do!
