I got this to keep with me to charge my iphone and ipad mini. I tried it just out of the box on my ipad mini which was down to 17% battery life remaining. I didn't charge the portable charger and it was flashing that it was 3/4 of the way full of charge. I plugged it in using my standard USB charging cable and after about an hr when I went to check the ipad mini was charged to 85% but the charger was dead. I think that if the charger had been fully charged it would have likely charged it to 100%. It seemed to charge it very quickly. I have a 3.5 year old that uses my ipad and iphone quite frequently when we are out and about and will drain my phone battery in no time. It will be so nice to carry this in my purse for times when I need a quick charge on the go without being able to get to my car to charge it. I am so excited about this purchase. I have been looking for one of these devices (there are a lot on the market) and am very happy to have gotten this one! It comes with the device and a cable to hook it into the wall USB charger to charge it up. You do have to use your own actual charging cable which is nice considering so many different devices have different USB cables. I purchased this because my phone is constantly draining. I'd have to say my battery dies at least 3x a day, not because I am on my phone all the time, but because of the apps that are on there, especially android wear to connect with my moto 360. Anyways, this little guy comes in handy. Charges up my phone pretty quickly! With everything turned off, airplane mode, and lights dimmed all the way down, it charged to 12% in 10 minutes. Only thing I can compare this to are the one's I purchased from eBay. Let me tell you, the one's purchased from eBay does not compare. They break immediately, especially at the ports. Although I paid about $5 or less on other batteries, I'd definitely put out more cash for a reliable one like this. I've had this for about a month now and have had no problems. Only thing I can complain about is the amount of time it takes to charge up this battery. This is why I gave this power bank a 4 and not a 5 star. Last I checked, this power bank took over an hour to completely recharge. I think somewhere around an hour to and hour and a half. Its not a problem because I usually charge everything at night so it can be ready for the morning.The bank is pretty heavy duty. Comparatively speaking, it is heavier than most I've purchased. It's about 3"x2" if I had to guess. It also comes with a little USB cord about an inch or so long. I don't use this when charging up my bank. It's too short. This little cord is only used when charging my note 4. I just leave it in my purse and charge it when not in use. I've also used my phone while it was charging and I'd have to say the cord is pretty durable. It does not come off and that's because the bank is sometimes dangling.The bank also doubles as a flashlight. It's not the brightest of lights, but is very useful when trying to find things in your purse or searching for the right key on your key ring! Overall I'd definitely recommend this power bank.
