Works great! Easy to install

Able to apply the part to fix the 'port not charging' issue for A2179 13" 2020. No adhesive to deal with like the iPhone but just straight removing small screws starting from the bottom cover to the charging ports area and then reverse the process of putting everything back in place. The smallest screws that you will ever need to deal with - make sure you have a clean area to work with and a magnetic tip of the screwdrivers to catch the screws. Three different types of screw sizes for the charging port area. Great DIY for weekend and the part is quite an affordable solution.

The install was quick and easy on my MacBook Air 2019 13”. I can transfer data and charge with both ports. I also, didn’t get any message saying that it’s non Apple part.

Spilled a tiny bit of water on my desk and somehow a drop got onto the charging cable, frying one of the USB-C ports and making the other one only work about 50% of the time. Apple diagnostics came back with a PPP001 error message, telling me the power port was bad. After some Googling, I saw that the USB-C board is fairly easy to replace (iFixit has great instructions). This USB-C board and a tool kit cost $12 each, so I figured it was worth a shot.15 minute process to crack open my Macbook Air, take out the old USB-C board and replace it with this one, and put everything back together. Both USB-C ports work fine now and according to Coconut Battery are charging the laptop at normal rates. Can't speak to the longevity of this USB-C board, but it's not really a wear item so if it works now it'll probably work for as long as the rest of this laptop does. If it burns out randomly or fails somehow, I'll update this review accordingly.

Excellent for the MacBook airbook M1 13"

Ordered to replace the USB-C ports in my 2020 MacBook Pro (A2141). I was able to qualify for one-day shipping, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, this piece is not compatible with the A2141 model despite the statement that it is. If you're working on a MacBook Pro, keep looking. This in not the product.

I thought that this part would show up as a non-apple part or something but it works great and easily enough I replaced it myself after getting water into my original charging port (this was done on a 2020 MacBook Air m1-A337 ) def recommend if you have the same issue as me
