Maps Poster Book

The maps are amazing, but it loses two stars for the size - it's an awkward 10ish x 14ish size (each page is basically the same size as the book, and there is no real margin, so you can't trim one side without losing part of the print) so you really have to get a custom frame made if you want to frame any of these (which is what we intended to do for our daughter's room). I also wish they had posted a list of the countries in this poster book - it's not all the ones in the other Maps book. Here's a list for other customers to use: Sweden, Finland, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Russia, China, India, Japan, Jordan, Egypt, South Africa, Madagascar, Canada, US, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Arctic, Antarctica, the World.

The book is fun to browse and we were easily able to use several pages as decoration for our child's room. Buyers should note that only select countries are represented and that the world map is less detailed than the single country maps.

My son checked this book out of the school library and loved it so much we went in search of a copy to have at home. While doing that search I discovered the Maps poster book. These are well perforated and designed to tear out easily. I removed them all from the book with no rips or damage to the map images. I had each map laminated so they will hold up to kid use for a bit longer than they otherwise might last. We love looking at them and talking about them. What a great way to encourage interest at a young age in the continents etc.

I bought this for an 8-10 year old but wanted to keep for myself! Interesting tidbits of information on the maps about each place ..... quality book. Fun way to explore countries around the world.

Fun, if stereotypical, way of viewing the world. Interesting way of providing a tourist snapshot of each major country. Perfect as an introduction to countries of the world and to help little ones create their own settings.
