Good wipes, bad packaging
They're wonderful for easily wiping my dog's gums and teeth. He doesn't mind having it done--I think he likes the taste--and they definitely improved his breath, though I'm not sure if they prevent plaque and doubt they can remove it. The problem, though, is that I need to use them twice a day, which makes them ridiculously expensive in this 25 count; I also feel guilty tossing all the plastic into the environment. I wish Earthbath would make them available in a much larger count. I wrote to them asking if they had them, along with a lot of questions about their products, but they never responded. Disappointing. Anyway, I guess I'm going back to the old rinse-on-a-square-of-gauze routine, which is more difficult given the size of my standard poodle.Full disclosure: Three days without these wipes and my dog's breath is getting a little funky. He has naturally sweet breath so it wouldn't be a problem if we hadn't had to change him to a prescription canned food due to health issues. So I just reordered them. Will try to find them cheaper elsewhere, but in the meantime I wanted them delivered quickly via Prime. I was afraid if I waited an extra few days his teeth might start to rot; he's elderly and had to have nine removed when we adopted him; it's no longer safe for him to have anesthesia for cleaning and I'd like him to hang on to the teeth he has left. Checked out reviews for a cheaper product (they offer 45 wipes instead of 25) on Amazon, and a couple of reviewers mentioned those wipes had a bad ingredient. So it's back to Earthbath--pricier, unecological, but seemingly safer for our dog. Darn, I wish they'd come out with a 100 count (are you listening, Earthbath?)!
