UltraSwim Chlorine Removal Shampoo, Moisturizing Formula 7 oz

I can no longer find this shampoo locally so I was happy to find it on Amazon. I swim almost every day, and my hair gets really dry and brittle even though I wear a cap (there is not a cap made that will keep your hair 100% dry). This is especially true in the summer because sometimes it is just too hot to wear anything but a lycra cap, so my hair gets soaked in chlorine for about an hour. It really helps, and it also gets rid of the chlorine smell. I use it for body wash sometimes too. Unscented which is perfect for me.

UltraSwim is the most common brand for swimming shampoo and conditioner that you typically find in stores. I also researched different review sites for best swimming shampoos, and UltraSwim is always listed in the top recommended list. So I bought it.The shampoo seems to work for taking chlorine out of my daughter’s hair. But after awhile, she complained about an itchy scalp. I guess it doesn’t work too well for my daughter. I will try some other product next time.

It is so difficult to get chlorine out of thick hair and actually takes me a couple of days to finally not smell it. This shampoo is a wonderful invention. It strips your hair of all of the crap (which is something we should do anyway once in a while...but not too often or your hair will be crappy) and the chlorine is absolutely gone! I wasn't a big fan of the smell but what can you do? So I used it and then used my own shampoo afterward. Then I used the Ultra Swim Conditioner, which is a must because you have to put the nutrients back into your hair that it needs after stripping it down. It was so smooth and shiny and healthy looking without the pool smell. I recommend this to swimmers!

I am using as hair help for all the time I spend. swimming in chlorinated swimming pool.I have only used it for a few weeks so not sure if it will be enough to help fight damage from chlorine. It does seem my hair is better than prior to using this shampoo.Not sure the cover / cap is best for tossing in my swim bag. It has leaked twice.

My daughter swam every single day in this summer & her hair started looking like hay! I washed her hair with this for about a week & it did make a HUGE difference. The texture is still not 100% like it was before, but this shampoo did help tremendously. I ended up purchasing a swim cap towards the end of the summer, but am so glad I found this to help salvage her hair!

texture is very watery. I'm not sure it really helps to wash away the smell. I use vitamin C defused water to rinse my hair seems more effective! Will not re-purchase

I swim five days a week, and my hair takes quite a beating. This shampoo does not quite counteract thirty minutes in chlorinated water, but it sure helps! I wouldn't do without it.

I purchased this shampoo when my hair looked lifeless after swimming in my pool. It made an immediate difference on my hair.

Works excellent, smells NICE! My hair feels better than it did before the chlorine damage. I've been living with hard water for 8 years, i had no idea the effect this has on hair. I started swimming everyday at the pool and my hair turned to straw. Because of this product my long hair feels so soft and silky. Seems to strip off the chlorine and minerals allowing the conditioner to penetrate my hair. My ends feel just as soft as the hair at my scalp. Love it!

We use this in the summer months when our pool is open. It's fine. I have no scientific way of proving that it actually removes chlorine for the hair but hey, I feel good thinking I am helping my kids and our hair so I buy it. It is also difficult to find swim friendly shampoo around our neck of the woods, so I bought this.

Very happy that it seems to do what is intended. It is a bit more perfumed than I like since I usually use non-fragrant products, but that mostly washes off if you use this first and wash thoroughly afterward. It would not do for my highly skin reactive spouse.

J'ai acheté ce produit pour ma fille qui se baigne tous les jours. Ce produit est très cher et ne tient pas ses promesses. Après plusieurs essais, la chevelure de ma fille n'a fait que s'assécher et s'abîmer encore plus. Je pense que ce produit décape les cheveux et les rends encore plus fragiles.

This shampoo works well to remove chlorine from the hair after swimming. However, it is really too expensive for how long it lasts. We used to buy this product at our local London Drugs for under $10, but now they have stopped carrying it. I'm still trying to find someplace to find it or the equivalent at a more reasonable price.

Je n'ai pas remarqué la différence avec un shampoing normal. Mes cheveux sentent le chlore quand même.

Worked very well, my hair became soft again with just one use. The only drawback is the strong perm like smell.
