I was thinking an alternative for chocolate, you know the kind - the kind you buy. It has big bars from the grocery stores.Well, it’s chocolate, without all of the sugar. So it seems like it’s almost chocolate, but it is really chocolate.I added it to my morning shake, and I sprinkle it on fruit.A bit of an acquired taste, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction to eating a more healthy diet and still having chocolate.

5 stars because it is exactly what it said it would be, it is high quality, has very few if any shell fragments, has no mold or mildew flavor, and seems to be all-around exactly what you're looking for if you like this kind of thing.But, it tastes like crap. I mean, who eats this stuff!? I bought 2 bags because I'm a chocolate LOVER and have cravings like crazy, but it turns out, after much online research, that the delicious chocolate and brownie flavor we all love so much ONLY COMES IF THE PRODUCT IS FERMENTED, TOASTED, AND THEN **PROCESSED WITH ALKALI**. Yep! It's the "Dutch processing", or processing with alkali that makes cocoa taste so good! So, this stuff has an extremely high calorie count since it's filled with cocoa butter, but it tastes awful AND does not have the deep chocolate flavor I want because it's not processed with alkali. So, if you wanted to eat fermented cacao garbage instead of delicious, chocolatey alkali-processed cocoa/cacao flavor, this stuff's for you! It has all the calories you want to make you fat like chocolate, without giving you the flavor of chocolate. :) Enjoy. :)Seriously though: 5 stars: nothing wrong with the product otherwise.

I've purchased Ashwagandha powder & Cacao Butter (twice) from Terrasoul and they were just fine, so I thought I'd try the Cacao Nibs.Eversince being diagnosed 4 years ago with 2 disabling autoimmune conditions I have been very conscious about using food-based "medicines" if you will, to improve my quality of life and wellbeing. I've been using Cacao nibs for nearly 4 years as part of this journey. I use 1 tablespoon every day as an additive in my "buttered" coffee & occasionally a 2nd serving in my daily smoothies.Because I've had good bags and not so good bags over the years, I think I know what to expect. I prefer the nibs over the powder because I'm getting as close as possible to the original form in taste & nutritional value. I also know what NOT to expect in taste: sweet(er) like a dark chocolate.But, I've never had TERRIBLE ones like these before. Even though the smell was very offputting, I tasted them anyway. I had to spit the gravel out! They are dusty, dried-out, full of debris, & beyond bitter like they are rancid! PLUS the expiration date is ONLY 2 MONTHS AWAY!!I'm extremely disappointed especially because I TRUSTED this brand based on previous purchases; they are expensive; AND although purchased using PRIME they are not returnable!!!Never again.
