These are SUPER little bikes.
I bought a pair of these.....1 black and 1 yellow for my wife and myself. I'm exceptionally happy with them. We owned a bike shop for 10 years and have attended several bike mechanic schools so I believe I'm qualified to express an opinion. The bikes are well built. The components are good quality. Folding and unfolding is SIMPLE. No tools required. There is virtually NO assembly out of the box BUT there are ADJUSTMENTS....mostly the brakes, The bikes are shipped with the brakes locked. Adjusting the brakes isn't rocket surgery. Just do a YouTube search on adjusting Shimano V brakes and you'll find everything you need to know. A bike brake cable tool is helpful but by no means necessary. The derailleurs did not need adjustment but the chains were on the wrong cogs. Just rock the bike over on the kickstand and turn the pedals and the chain should drop onto the correct set of cogs. Most of the negative comments I've read about these bikes are from people who either didn't understand how derailleurs work OR who didn't expect to have to do "new bike" adjustments. Every bike you buy from an independent bike shop is assembled after it arrives at the shop and carefully adjusted before you are allowed to take it home. These bikes are no different.Steering takes a minute or two to get used to because of the small wheels and a short wheel base. The 7 speeds are adequate for the type of riding the bikes are designed for. The paint job is good. The brakes WORK!!!You just can't ask for much more for the price.

Overall great bike for price. Get it professionally assembled for 100% quality
I bought this bike in both black and white (my boyfriend and I wanted matching bikes) to ride around town. I live in Idaho where there are several inclines so i wanted something with multiple speeds. I'll admit i was wary about ordering an item that had less than 4 stars. (When looking for items on Amazon, I generally go to filters and hit both prime eligible and 4 stars+ to weed out any iffy items.) I am so glad that I purchased this item! I haven't found any problems with either bike so far. When we received the bikes, they were in slightly varied states of assembly. After a few minutes of putting the bikes together, we realized that, although we knew what we were doing, the bikes would need to be tuned up by someone who REALLY knew what they were doing. BRING YOUR BIKE TO A PROFESSIONAL. They found all sorts of little things that we would not have noticed. Since these bikes are cheaper, they obviously aren't guaranteed great assembly in the warehouse. The only one truly negative thing the bike shop had to say was that the gear shifter was cheaply made so shifting could be a problem but that it wasn't a safely hazard.Since we have been riding, my boyfriend and I haven't had a single problem! We ride a minimum of a mile each time we ride and both get to our destination safely and in a great mood! People in the previous reviews have complained that the brakes are poor, that they don't coast for very long, etc., but we haven't had a single problem and I'm crediting that to the fact that we had ours professionally worked on. We were a little concerned how hard it might be to ride a bike with such small wheels (smaller wheel base=a lot more peddling) but we wanted the bikes for more exercise and although we have to pedal more than a bike with 26" wheels, we don't find that we are much more tired on these bikes than normal! We love them! This bike has been a hit to everyone who has never seen a folding bike before. I love folding it up for those who are curious and it is SO SIMPLE to do! it takes me a little longer than a minute but that's because I'm weak handed and very cautious. haha Otherwise neither my boyfriend or I have trouble folding or unfolding the bikes. I did have a problem with my seat not wanting to stay up but with a little tweaking, I no longer have that problem! (I'm 5'6" and weigh 170 lb). When folded up, both our bikes fit in the back seat of his standard sized car no problem! The bike weighs around 30 to 35 pounds which to some may seem like a lot but both my boyfriend and I carry our bikes up the flight of stairs to our apartment relatively easily. Once again, it's a good workout! As for the bike seat, yes, your butt will hurt at first. Mine did the first few rides! But right about the time I decided I was going to buy a different seat, i found that my butt didn't hurt nearly as much and now it's actually relatively comfortable. Give it a chance; break in the seat! (Ice your butt if you have to the first few times. haha)My only complaint are 1: the gear shifter - I am a bit weary about changing gears much because it feels a little sensitive. Mind you, it hasn't given me any problems. 2: The smaller wheel base takes some getting used to, but I expected that. Since the tires are much smaller than traditional adult bikes, the turn radius is much smaller so it's easy to over-turn and throw yourself out of balance. Make sure to practice a bit before going out there and racing someone around the neighborhood.Do not adjust your screen; this review has been posted twice; one for the white bike and one for the black.

Better than expected
I was searching for a cheap folding bike and according to the reviews I decided for this one.Excatly what everybody said, for $160 it is not bad! You can’t compare with a Dahon or Brompton. But it has a 7 speed Shimano gear, that alone is worth it. It is light! Riding is good!I bought it so I can throw it in the back of the trunk and if I come across a cool park, I want to bicycle for a quick excercise. This bike is good for quick errands too.For the average bicyclist.... this is good for the price! I only switched for a better seat.Assembly from unboxing and to put everything together was about 1 hour.Make sure you have the right tools, a wrench, screwdriver and air pump!I had to loosen the breaks a little bit only. Did not have to adjust the gears.YouTube videos will show you how to do it!Easy!

Good quality bike
I did not have any experience assembling bikes, but putting this together took me about 30 mins. The brakes need to be adjusted and there was a little wobble on the front tire. I just looked up on youtube on how to fix those issues.First time riding it, I thought the handlebar/stem part was wobbly. It turns out i needed to tighten the bolts even more. The frame seem to be very sturdy. The only issue I have is with the derraileur: it is off by +1 gear (ie. 1 is 2, 2 is 3, etc). It is no big deal to me because it still gives me access to the highest gear which is what i need (gear 7, but my shifter will show I'm on gear 6). The only drawback is i won't have access to gear 1, and I won't be using this on hills so I don't need that. This is ideal for short commutes (~7 miles). I changed my handlebar to bullhorns so i can have different hand positions and still be able to fold the bike.Overall, this is a good quality bike for the price.
