Plane-spotting
So I’m flying home from a vacation concerned that my jet-induced claustrophobia won’t severely kick in a cause me to want to open the plane door for freedom. How do I stop this feeling? How about grabbing the Book of Awesome and diving in to the many, many ways I can forget about troubles and rejoice in the little things that mean a lot.I’m minding my own business as a gentlemen across the aisle, two rows back, taps me on the shoulder and comments, “I try to peel an orange in one try too.” Immediately the impact of the author’s words kick in. The book caught this gentleman’s eye and he related to Neil’s printed word. And this passenger and I, with no more words between us, were simpatico in a way. And that.....is awesome.Great read. Enjoy what life’s little things really mean.

Lighten up man!
My addictive nephew with a bad attitude is in rehab and he really liked this book. Truthfully, I'm amazed. We need to remember that often the best parts of life occur in the humorous, unnoticed and unpredictable day to day events rather than continually over-analyzing and resenting life's responsibilities. I hope this book helps him realize that! I will try the others too.

Positive, funny, awesome book!
I love this book. Its positive message about finding the beauty, goodness, and awesome-ness in everyday life is a balm for our critical, divided world. I have purchased several copies--the book makes a great stocking stuffer, gift for a young adult, frazzled mom, friend coping with a hardship or anyone who needs a laugh or a lift.

Appreciating the world around us.
This is a great easy read to remind us all of so many things we take for granted in this world. It's becoming too easy to focus on what's wrong with the world we live in rather than what's right that I found this book very refreshing. Not a bad gift for graduates that have their lives in front of them and see only the difficult challenges ahead of them. I also bought the Happiness Equation and between the two books Neil shines a light on how we can all sometimes get our priorities and thought processes out of sync and instead of taking the time to appreciate what is good around us, and doing those things that will bring internal rewards, we get caught up in doing things for the sake of keeping up with our neighbors.

Fun, lighthearted reading!
I wanted something to take with me for a beach vacation that would be an easy read. On the recommendation of a friend, I downloaded this to my tablet. Such a fun book full of things so many people can relate to. And short chapters, perfect for travel situations where you might not have time to read for very long! Just a great little book on the simple joys of life we all take for granted sometimes.

A fun book to read
This is a fun book to read. You can flip to just about any page and find something "awesome" to read about. The passages can be read in any order. Many reminded me of the pleasure I've found in little things that I didn't pay much attention to except at that "awesome" moment.

Love this book
Love this book. I love opening it and reading something that is actually awesome! I use it sometimes for my counseling sessions and my students love it! It is an easy way to use as an ice breaker or even as a social/expressive activity. I also gave this as a gift to other people as well and they loved it!

Not really for me
This book is everything it says it is but it wasn't for me. Lots of positive stories and anecdotes but a bit too chatty and lightweight for me. Nothing wrong with the book, it's a matter of personal choice.

Not so Awesom!
There is nothing original in those books. Everybody can do it. I still don't know why I bought them. (Looking for something new and refreshing maybe)!

Genius
This guy is hilarious, he writes from the heart and is an excellent observer of the human condition. Very funny and laugh out loud-also perfect bedtime/waiting room reading as most items (if you like) are only a page or two long. So uplifting and light hearted would recommend to anyone who appreciates the little things in life-or needs to learn to!
