All I can really say is I love it, I love it, I love it! I actually purchased this to make crushed ice because our ice maker broke in our side-by-side fridge. I suffer from Anemia and one of the symptoms is a constant craving for chewing ice (I know, so weird). I was actually using a meat mallet to crush up ice in an old pillowcase, and got so sick of this time consuming arm sore-ing process. After some searching on Amazon I found this, and while it is a smoothie maker, I knew it had to crush ice in that process so thought it might work as an ice crusher. Actual ice crusher machines are expensive and generally not very well reviewed. While this was a great price and nice and small so I could keep it out on our already crowded kitchen counters. There were a few other options similar, but since I needed it for ice crushing, I chose this one because it had the most powerful motor.Once I received it I pulled it out and had it together and knew hoe to use it in less than 5 minutes. It took me a few tries, but I now have my crushed ice process down perfectly and know exactly how much water and ice to add. Yes, liquid is a MUST and it takes a larger amount than I initially thought would be needed. Usually for one full bottle of crushed ice I need to fill the bottle half way with water (always fill before ice so the ice doesn't fuse together in a giant ice line), then fill up with ice to the top, let crush for 10 seconds or so, and done. This with crush the ice down to snow consistency if left going long enough, which is really not very long. I usually pulse it maybe 5-10 times for coarser ice.Tip:One thing I have found is square ice cubes do not work very well. They seem to get caught in a place where the blade can't hit them and then they just sit there. I really have to play with short pulses to get anywhere with square cubes. The oblong or rectangle cubes work best, and ice bought in bags works very well too.I use this at least 3 times a day everyday and so far it works just as well as the first time. I am so beyond happy with this little gizmo. No more sore arms from hitting ice with a meat mallet!This B&D Personal Blender is a great product, easy to use, great price, fast, and small so can be kept on counter within easy reach. It is one of my recent favorite purchases. My kids love it too as we have made some very good fruit juice slushies, which is a great alternative to high sugar slushies with no nutritional value sold at gas stations and movie theaters.

This product does more than it's supposed to. I bought this product because my beloved $400 Vitamix is in storage and I won't see it again for three months. I need something that will blend protein shakes, and this product comes with the added feature of having two portable bottles included so you don't need to transfer to a different container. I'm cheap, so I'm not going to pay $50 for another blender when I already have an awesome one, but that being said, I do need something that works. You can't just shake a protein shake, as those blender bottles will have you believe. You need an electric one so you can add ice and some fruits and vegetables to make the shake palatable. This whole situation, being with my Vitamix, happened to me last year, which makes this review even more relevant. I bought a Hamilton Beach 51108 single serve blender. Big mistake, I returned it immediately.  Hamilton Beach 51108 Stainless Single Serve Blender with Travel Lid  It's too small, the lid doesn't stay on, and you wouldn't want to travel with that metal cup.Ok, so this blender does more than advertised. It blends protein shakes with ice very well, very quickly, very thoroughly. Some people have complained about the two bottles being plastic, but that's the point. If you're going to throw this in your bag, you'd want a plastic bottle. The Hamilton Beach single serve blender came with a metal container, and that was a disaster. And you don't want glass. I'm speaking from experience. I have these Aquasana glass water bottles,  Aquasana AQ-6005 18-Ounce Glass Water Bottles, 6-Pack , and for some purposes they're great. But they're terrible for thick shakes, the opening on top is too small. They're hard to clean, the opening again. And they're glass, so they can break, and they do. You really don't want a smoothie all over you on your way to work. So plastic is the way to go.The seals on this blender are really tight. Even though it's upside down while it blends, the seals are solid. The downside of the upside down design is that if you need to add just one more cube of ice or just one extra banana, you need to stop the whole thing and unlock it. You can't just drop in more ingredients like with a normal blender. But this thing turns into a portable bottle, so it's worth it. You get two bottles, which is fantastic. The blender stays on when you hit the button, you don't have to stand there holding the button. There's only one speed, but all the different speeds on other blenders are kind of a scam anyway. And it has little suction cups on the bottom of the unit, so it sticks to your countertop. That's pretty cool since the bottle is long and skinny, so when the unit is operating, the center of gravity is a bit high.And yes, this thing works on jars. I love mason jars, I have a ton of them, also in storage. But as a test, I tried the blender blade from this unit on a jar I had in the kitchen, a jar of Trader Joe's virgin coconut oil. It's exactly the same size, seals perfectly. This blender will be able to use pretty much any standard jar, so if you really want glass, you can have glass. Overall, for this price, this gets 5 stars.

El envío fue muy puntual en la fecha estipulada. El producto es de calidad y muy práctico. Yo lo utilizo para frutas blandas y cereales como avena y los muele muy bien a pesar de que sus aspas son compactas. No he utilizado verduras ni hielo. Sus vasos que incluye son muy prácticos para llevar al trabajo o al gym, su capacidad es de 600 ml., cierran bastante bien, y no se derraman. En relación con el precio y la marca (que siempre ha hecho productos para el hogar pero bastante buenos) está muy bien. No tuve la necesidad de comprar un producto más caro.

Sirve perfecto para hacer batidos en las mañanas! Es potente y muy practica, viene con 2 vasos y sus tapas, no es nada estorbosa y no hace mucho ruido para su tamaño, llevo usandolo poco más de 1 año y no me ha dado ningún problema! Se los recomiendo.

This compact blender is small enough for the counter space, but it isPowerful. I use it daily to make shakes and it crushes ice perfectly.It has 2 containers which is very helpful. I have bought 2 now , one at home and one at my weekend place. The price is excellent and it is by far betterThan my huge Blender.
