It works!
This Mosquito UV Lamp was replacing one I had for many years which had broken; the first thing I noticed was the UV tube was longer than the one it was replacing. My old UV tube was 101mm and the Loowoko UV tube is 185mm, this I felt would make this Insect Killing Lamp more effective. It has been working now for almost one month and it is effectively killing flying midges, moths etc in our kitchen. These can be seen on both the high voltage wire, and the insects which have fallen into the tray at the bottom. I am very pleased with this product.

Cheap Load of plastic rubbish – DO NOT BUY
Didn't work out of the box - light fitting not wired in had to take it apart to fit the bulb properly, then it wouldn’t go back to together. 2 hrs wasted, £40 down the toilet and a heap of platic just about fit for the tip.

Better than the cheaper units, but short mains lead is a real letdown.
Not the cheapest, but better than the LED or Fan based traps, first few nights it has caught a good number of critters. The real problem though is the decidedly un-generous mains lead attached. I know copper is expensive these days, but this unit could seriously do with more than the less than the approx 1M of flex fitted. Ideal placement is up high for traps like this (away from the reach of children and where insects will be more readily drawn)But with the length of flex attached you'd be lucky to get it on a coffee table and plugged into a low wall socket. The flex exits the unit from the top so they expect you to hang it with power from above....I don't have many mains sockets on my ceiling unfortunately.Really it needs either a figure-of-8 style detachable lead that can be replaced for a longer one, or a more generous lead fitted as standard. As it is to make this useful I am going to have to perform warranty invalidating modifications or an unsightly mains lead extension on mine to make it truly useful.

It works
Having just stayed in our motorhome in France next to a river and a canal (the burgundy area) in the recent heatwave I can testify that this thing works! There were more bugs there than the jungle in Thailand ( I promise as I was there three years ago) and it was popping constantly and exterminating hundreds of mosquitoes and other little nasties. Only downside the noise upset our dog!

Useless
I am still waiting for it to catch an insect. It is not worth having.

Rubish
Worked for about 3 months. Light works but grid no longer works, flys bugs just fly around inside it. Rubbish.
