I plugged the unit for apps and wifi set up. No power indicator on, no blinking light- nothing at all. I plugged and replugged the power supply and tried on couple of my power outlets in my house without any result. Long pressed for 5 seconds with no result also. Im returning this asapUpdate.Amazon sent a replacement unit fast and i got it in just a couple of days. Amazon really stands behind its customer satisfaction policy 110%. Ok with that said the replacement one performed flawlessly. With just a voice command, im able tell alexa to shut off my main water supply from anywhere. Im setting one up for my gas line soon. Im changing my rating to 5 star beacause of amazons awesome policy.New update: 10-11-19. Replacement one failed too. I was away from home when i got a frantic call from my wife. The water had shut off to the house as my children were getting ready for school that early morning. For some reason the unit lost wifi connectivity again and turned the lever to shut off the valve by itself. I had instructed her to unplugged the power supply and replugged it while i waited for the apps to restablish connectivity-nothing happened. No power indicator light on. Over the phone i had instructed my wife pull the manual gear release ring while forcing the motorized arm to parallel with the water pipe so the water can be restored as our last resort. The whole ordeal stressed both of us as she is not that mechanically inclined. Two failures are enough for us from this brand. I will search for a better one out there instead. Another thing that upsets me is that amazon is no longer gives me any option to return nor replace this thing anymore. I have this for only about a month. So im giving it only a star rating- again. So please save yourself from trouble. Do not buy this product.

setup was pretty easy and was happy with purchase till I was away on business and the wifi stopped working... FYI when it loses WIFI it automatically turns the water OFF. I had her go under the house and restart but it was dead and the water was off. didn't know about pulling the pin to override valve lever so had to have her unscrew the device to turn on water. Ended up that the unit is dead, no light no nothing, am having another sent. am adding these comments because it was not something I had foreseen...

I looked into solutions after receiving a water bill 8 times its normal price. There is no way to monitor it, but there is a way to control it with this tool. You plug it in and it allows the device to turn the knob on and off like a robot. You will need a lever knob which I did have to modify, but other wise would have been a really simple install. Its great for shutting off everything when your gone for long periods of time as well or own a rental property. This could be used for other things other than water which is cool and thinking about changing those levers in the future as well. Overall a great buy that I am sure will pay for itself really fast and glad someone thought of it.

Easy to install, needs a little thinking first but once you figure it out it's a piece of cake. Software connected to Alexa through its skill, with no issues.The device has enough force to close shut the system. I use it to start/ stop sprinklers in the garden. No more getting wet on the process lol.The only thing I don't like is that you must give your wifi password to a Chinese company so that you may use it remotely and with Alexa. I really hate that. I wish I knew how to flash it with tasmota.

Works with smartlife app.Google home recognized real quick. Just a press of the button and open or close. Pretty cool. Due to the location of my valve it was a little tight but all good.Happy with the purchase due to the sopanros giving me paranoia of my hot water tank blowing and flooding my basement lol

I found this hard to mount as others have mentioned. No so much mouting it generally, but getting it to turn well and meshing with the lever. I finally got it after quite a frustrating install in my crawl space. I intend to use it only to turn off water to hose bib in winter and back on in spring, so I think it will suffice for me. I suggest the company work on the issue I have outlined...as the motor and app functions great.

Purchased this item to operate a 3/4” valve that operates a greenhouse drip irrigation system. The mounting instructions are limited to the picture on the box but is easy to assemble once you realize you are on your own. Tech instructions for connecting and operating the software are straight forward and easy to follow. I was 200 miles from the greenhouse today and using just my phone watered and misted the vegetables and herbs. As a grower, the freedom this device gives me is priceless. Perhaps the best $35 I have ever spent.

The app and Google Home integration works well. The arm is too short and and not aligned, goes too far in close position and not far enough in open. Unfortunately its keyed to fit on bolt that actuates the arm. A longer valve arm would be a plus. I will have to physically modify the valve to work in my application. The torque is sufficient to open and close most valves.
