SmartLab Toys Solar System Adventure

My 4 year old son is very into the solar system right now and loves this! The planets are very small, so I would not recommend for younger than he is (we also have a 1.5 y/o that we have to keep this away from). He was able to assemble with help, but did already break one planet. The lunar rover was more complicated and pretty much built by my husband. My son loves having a 3-d visual of the order of planets and their distance from the sun. Overall, great cost and perfect for a kid who's interested in the solar system.

Great price. The solar system is smaller than it appears in the photos. The rover that comes with it is actually bigger than the system but was difficult to put together as it was like a 'soft' cardboard material. Overall for a 4th grade project, it works well. The sun lights up and everyone in class thought it was amazing.

Kid loves this solar system model. It has a center light (sun) that works with two AAA batteries. It is small, but perfect for a learning kid from about Grade 1 (not ideal for little children since these are small parts). The solar system is super cute. The earth even has a tiny moon that spins. The solar system does not spin automatically, but you can manually rotate each one with your hand. For the price, it is a wonderful addition to the kid's home library. The planets have the right colors. The planets are even made in the relative correct size. It comes with a nice science booklet which has colorful pictures and descriptions of the planets. We have not built the rover robot yet. Thanks!

My five year old who is into outer space facts really enjoyed building this. It was easy to build, the materials were cheap, but the price was right.

It's as simple as you think for the price but it works well, moves freely (no motor). The light up sun was cool in a dark room with my 3 & 5 year old boys. We even put it together. I put the labels on (their the cheapest part, but workable) the arms, my oldest put the planets on, and my youngest slid them on the stalk (I organized order). I put the base together and did the earth because of the moon. This is one of the only ones I found that had a moon that would orbit the Earth.

Poorly constructed. Plastic breaks easily. My son got it put together but one of the poles that the planet is on broke off.

Awesome product! I purchased this kit for my son's planet project. It was really simple and easy to put together. He loved that it came with a Mars rover as well as a poster with it. We have not attempted to put the rover together but have already put the solar system together. As a parent, the price was well worth it as I have spent way more on other projects which were not comparable to this in price and quality. I also love the fact that he can have this to put in his room after the class project is over with.

Great product at a great price! The solar system model is very easy to put together & the Sun even lights up! It also comes with a sturdy cardboard/plastic model of the Mars Rover, although we haven't put that together yet, it does appear to be a decent product as well. The instructions for the solar system model & Mars rover are a long foldout page that on the flip side has a very nice poster of the solar system, even including meteor belts between planets. I would recommend this product.

Loved this but you need to glue the planets on. They get knowcked off easily.It was easy to put together. My 10 year old did it himself.

bought for my 5 year old daughter, she loved the model.

Excellent. I bought this for my 8 year old nephew and he said it was better than the one he saw in the shop. Good value for money.
