Yuasa NP18-12B 12V/17.2AH SLA Battery with NB Terminal

This battery was a replacemnt for a Prestone battery boost. Replacing the battery avoided tossing a 24 year Prestone boost in the recycling center and made me very happy, as the Prestone battery booster is no longer available. I think Prestone would be very surprised to see their booster still operating as originally since 1998!Thanks for having the battery available.

A pair of these replaced the original BB batteries in my Black and Decker CMM 1000 electric mower. While the original batteries lasted 11 years (limping along in the last year), I've had good luck with Yuasa in motorcycle starting batteries, so decided to give these a try. The mower works like new again; we'll see how long they last.Note that if you're replacing CMM 1000 batteries, the posts on these require a through-bolt instead of using tapped female threads like the original BB batteries, but I couldn't find that configuration. Not a problem: each battery came with a bolt, nut and lockwasher that fit through the mower's ring terminals, so no trip to the hardware store and no reconfiguration needed beyond bending the ring terminals. Two strips of Scotch/3M Outdoor Mounting Tape held the pair of batteries together like the original.
