Just what I needed
I just got these in the mail today, and so far they seem great! I will wear them some more to workout and if they do not perform well, I will update my review. I do the original "cross fit workout" which is traditional Kungfu. But seriously, the stitching and material are quality. The color is slightly darker than the pic, but is a nice color. I love how the waist is higher. It really supports my abs and lower back and doesn't land in an awkward place on my hip, but rather at my true waist. The length is just what I wanted, hitting about 3 inches above my kneecap. I got the sizing info off of the Adam's website and be advised, the sizes run about 1-2 sizes smaller than what you would probably normally buy. If in doubt, order 1 to 2 sizes larger. For reference, I wear a size 12-14 (Large) pants right now, so I ordered the XXLarge in these shorts and they fit perfectly.

Okay
These were okay...they ran a little small for my daughter who is only 14 and wears a 0...I thought that a women's small would be just right based on other clothes choices, but no luck.

WTH
I am normally a medium size in these things, in EVERY brand. I bought these to find that they were at least 2 sizes to small! My sister (Who is a small) could not even fit into them. it's upsetting. And upon requesting return information, I NEVER GOT IT. Now its to late to return, Absolutely horrible.

Wrong brand semt
So considering I didn't get " Adams" sliding shorts I was a little disappointed. You sent a different brand without my permission. They are thinner than the Adams so I'm not very happy. We decided to keep them because my Daughter needed them right away.

Good tight compression
Unrelated to fit:Maroon is a nice dark maroon color; purple is a bright jewel tone purple; the Columbia blue is a nice light blue as shown in the product image. The royal blue is darker than the product image, but not quite navy. The teal is a little greener than the product image. There seem to be two varieties of these currently for sale. One has an enclosed elastic waist and a paper tag. The other has an interior exposed elastic waist, and a "tag" printed on the material. See my "user uploaded" photo. Both varieties seem to fit the same way.Regarding fit and wear:I wear compression shorts for medical reasons, focusing on compression of my abdomen. I've tried many varieties of shorts; the low-waisted ones tend to compress well at the abdomen but unfortunately can be uncomfortable and, if they're providing good compression, leave a bit of muffin-top which is visible even under "regular" clothes. These Adams shorts sit closer to the natural waist, but are made with such a strong, stretchy material that they still give good compression across the whole garment. They used another layer of the same very strong material at the sides (with no other padding). This makes the stretch of the overall garment even tighter.Other reviewers have commented that this item fits too tightly; it's got a double-layer of very strong stretchy material, so that certainly makes sense. I usually order one size smaller than my shorts size for compression shorts. For these I ordered the same as my current shorts size. With this item, the same size as my current shorts size fits well. This item, the Adams Compress Sliding Shorts, gives a little more compression than the Adams Compression Shorts (non-sliding variety) of the same brand, due to the extra layer of material at the sides. However, this also makes them heavier, and they retain heat more. The material is surprisingly thick. They're probably not best as an under-layer for regular wear in hot weather. The strength of the stretchy material makes them hard to put on, but once they are on they do not feel excessively tight. They're comfortably tight. They look sheer when held to the light, though the material feels thick. However, when worn, they seem opaque enough to cover underwear. There is definitely visible panty line due to tightness. It's a little less visible at the sides where the material is doubled.I typically wear shorts with about a 10"-11" inseam. This item has a longer inseam than most of the other compression shorts I've tried. The bottom is just about the same as the bottom hem of my shorts, so with movement and so on it may peek out the bottom a bit. The colors are very bright and peeking will probably be visible. Fortunately there's a range of colors; I can just try to coordinate with my outfit, or I can wear longer pants/skirts.This is an excellent choice for abdominal compression. It may not be perfect as daily wear under every kind of "regular" clothes, but will still work well with some. It will probably be fine on its own as a workout garment.
